- Fennel infusion is effective in reducing menstrual cramps and menopause symptoms. In addition, as fennel is emmenagogue it helps to regulate menstruation. It is antiseptic, healing, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant so it is usually used in oral infections and to calm inflammation in general. Fennel is also an expectorant and fluidizing, that is, the infusion of this plant will be beneficial for the expulsion of mucus and in cases of bronchitis.
