History

The cattle arrived in America with the Spanish conquistadors as an indispensable element for feeding. The indigenous people did not have domestic animals, therefore, without livestock the conquest and appropriation of the American continent would have been impossible.

During the twentieth century, livestock farming became important as an industry, as population growth demanded greater productivity, the country's moderation and its strong link to the world economy. That's why the history of livestock is the history of the country.
