There are many fruits that can be turned into raisins, but they are mostly made out of grapes. Raisins may be eaten raw or used in baking, cooking and even brewing.
The drying process of the grape can take long or short time depending on the used method. The first method is sun drying. This is an inexpensive process but the resulting raisins are often low quality due to environmental contamination, insects and deterioration. The mechanical drying process can be easily controlled and produces raisins in a shorter amount of time.
