Essen Aluminio SA

En 1954, Armando Yasci y su esposa Teresa Bompessi fundaron, en la ciudad de Venado Tuerto, Provincia de Santa Fe, una pequeña empresa de fundición de aluminio para la fabricación de encendedores de cocina, entre otros productos. Bajo el liderazgo de su hijo Wilder, el negocio familiar de encendedores prosperó para cubrir la demanda de todas las cocinas de gas en Argentina.
A finales de los años setenta, durante un viaje a Nueva York, Wilder y su amigo Roberto Angelini descubrieron una cacerola de aluminio que les llamó la atención y decidieron crear su propio modelo en su fundición. Después de dos años de prueba y error, produjeron las primeras cacerolas que llamaron "Essen", que significa "comer" o "comida" en alemán, un idioma vinculado a las raíces de Mirta, la esposa de Wilder.
