What is pan de miga?
It is a type of bread characteristic of Argentina, with a soft, compact and flexible texture. The bread crust is removed and cut into very thin slices used as tops or walls in sandwiches. Depending on how many of these bread tops are used, sandwiches are called single or triple.
The different lids or walls of bread are smeared with different ingredients, such as butter, margarine, or a mixture of mayonnaise with milk or water to lighten it.
