Wines Catena Appellation
In Borgoña, the "Vins de Village" are the wines that come from grapes grown in certain communes that give the name to the appellation, such as Volnay, Pommard, Meursault or Vosne-Romanée. Similarly, the rural villages of Lunlunta, Vista Flores, San Carlos, Tupungato, Agrelo and La Consulta give their name to the beautiful historical vineyards that surround them. As a Latin country, Argentina shares the Napoleonic code. Half of the vineyards in Mendoza are less than four hectares in size and are owned by several members of a family. Life in the countryside of the rural villages of Mendoza revolves around the asado on Saturday, with family and friends, the daily afternoon siesta and the visit to the church on Sundays, with an occasional wedding or baptism. The flavors of our Catena Appellation wines express the diversity of the terroir and the historical agricultural customs of these local families.
