The National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia (FNC) is considered one of the largest rural NGOs in the world. It is a non-profit organization that nationally and internationally represents Colombian coffee growers to ensure their well-being and the improvement of their quality of life. The FNC's services include:

Purchase guarantee

This service, provided by the FNC to its producers, guarantees the purchase of their coffee on the best prices in the market, with cash payments, calculated transparency, without intermediaries, in places near their farms and every day of the year. Coffee growers constantly count on this service, as well as the logistical and storage capacity that works through an extensive network of over 500 points of purchase nationwide, owned by 33 coffee growers cooperatives.

This extensive network reaches even to the most remote places of the country, so that producers can sell their coffee in places close to their farms and thus, avoid incurring considerable transport costs.

Promotion and advertising of the Colombian coffee

As a pioneer in the global industry, the FNC has positioned Colombian Coffee as an exceptional and highly differentiated bean, consolidating and opening new markets by increasing demand and improving producers' incomes. Due to this. Colombian coffee is recognized as the best in the world.

The United States, Japan and Europe are the most important markets for Colombian Coffee, but it reaches almost 70 countries, making it one of the most recognized and penetrating Colombian products in the world.

Scientific investigation and technological development

The scientific research and technological development the FNC offers to the farmers through the National Research Center of the Coffee (Cenicafé), allows them to count on different varieties of improved, more productive, disease resistant and better adapted to climate variability and change seeds, best practices, conservation of soil, agro-forestry, integrated management of weed, monitoring and record of climatic variables, improvement, cultivation, integrated management of pests and diseases, water-saving and first developments of harvest-assisted, among other topics of cultivation. These investigations are carried out with resources from the National Coffee Fund.

Rural extension service

The Extension Service (SE) is the direct contact between the FNC and coffee producers. The current extension workers, for the useful and practical technical assistance they provide, have become indispensable allies of the producers when it comes to transforming coffee cultivation into a real profitable and productive enterprise.

Sustainability

The Federation seeks to make coffee farming, in the short, medium and long term, a profitable business, which contributes to the economic and social development of coffee families, always privileging the care of natural resources.

High-quality coffee guarantee

In compliance with the current Customs regulation Chapter XIII of Decree 1165 of 2019 and Regulatory Resolution No. 01 of 2012 of the National Committee of Coffee Growers, the FNC is the entity in charge of keeping the National Registry of the Coffee industry and establishing the requirements for the registration of roasters, threshers and soluble coffee factories in Colombia.
