The Torrontés is a typical grape of Argentina that is part of the group of cepajes "criollos". There are different types: Riojano, Mendoza and Sanjuanino, although it is the first that expresses best qualities for the production of fine wines, very fruity and at the same time dry, which has earned them several international awards.
In sight, Torrontés is pale yellow, greenish or golden, when young and depending on the area of production these golden can be of greater intensity. Its color evolves to golden with bright reflections when it has already aged.
The characteristic aromas remind of rue, roses, which are very intense, peaches, apple trees, cloves, honey and in certain cases the aroma of muscat grape is present. The primary aromas of Torrontés wine are given by roses, white peaches and fruit salad.
Its flavor is a combination of orange peel, peaches, fruit salad, honey, oregano, chamomile and muscat grape. The balance present in it, between acidity and fruit flavors, make it appear as a sweet wine but in reality it is a magnificent dry wine.
