The Argentine brand La Pinocha Chocolates, which was born by the hand of a pediatrician and a teacher less than 30 years ago, is about to open its first store in Spain. The gastronomic world would not be the same without artisanal chocolate and that's why it's always good news to meet a new brand that arrives to captivate fans.

This is the story of the brand that was born on the coast of the South American country and crossed the ocean in pure taste.

La Pinocha, the Argentine chocolate shop that arrives to Alicante

Cold and winter are almost synonymous with a rich chocolate. That product that adds calories and comforts when we need it most. And if it is handmade, much better.

The Argentine chocolaterie La Pinocha was born in 1996, by the hand of the doctor Julia Kalogerias and the teacher Ana María Terradas. They both lived in Villa Gesell, a town on the Atlantic Coast of Buenos Aires, and shared a passion and a dream.

"They decided to venture into this world of chocolate thanks to different trips abroad and throughout our country, in which they were instructed in the matter and began to develop many of the recipes that we continue to implement today," says The Chronicler Emiliano Baratz, current CEO of La Pinocha Chocolates.

The company was founded in Mar de las Pampas, very close to the creators' homes, where they had more space. "The families have been living in Villa Gesell for 40 years. Although today it is a very important tourist spot, when they started the Pinocha project, the environment was only forest, sea and there was a lot to do," says Baratz.

"Even initially, the two largest premises of the "Paseo de La Pinocha" (as the place was called) were houses intended for summer rental," he adds.

"We are committed to repeat the success in Spain"

The brand's first international destination was Spain. The store already has a place in Alicante and the company shows great expectations.

"The country in general, and the Valencian community in particular, have a strong roots in the chocolate culture. Being a coastal city with a lot of tourist influx, we understood that commercially it is ideal for people to start getting to know us and emotionally associate us with a beautiful moment such as holidays", considers the CEO.

Although Alicante will be the first branch, they are already moving forward with three other openings in other areas as well. "We are committed to repeating the success we are having in Argentina. Over the years we have received many requests and proposals for Pinocha to reach different countries around the world", he says.

"We are optimistic, but in the right way. We want to grow and learn every day", closes Baratz.

As for the variety of products, the store will have most of the flavors of the brand, but according to them, "of course", they will add traditional flavors of Spanish gastronomy and "many more surprises".
