Founded on November 3, 1973 in the Sol de Mayo Colony of Jardín América, by a group of producers with the aim of carrying out the drying and grinding of Yerba Mate, in order to market it. Today it brings together more than 190 partners from a vast production basin composed of Campo Viera, Colonia Polana, Hipólito Irigoyen, Puerto Leoni, Campo Grande and Jardín América.
Foreseeing the needs of the mid-90's and in order to begin to diversify to obtain greater economic benefits for its members, the Cooperative began an ambitious project that concluded in 1994 a Moderna “Manioc Starch Factory” involving 50 producer families and elaborates 4 thousand tons of starch, at an incessant pace of 24 hs. of work.
The great variety of products that are planted and harvested in the area are the Garden Flower raw material that reaches the gondolas of Misiones, Corrientes, Chaco, Formosa, Entre Ríos, Santa Fe, Córdoba and Buenos Aires with sweet and sour canned products of choclitos, chili peppers, sauerkraut, pickles and cucumbers and their specialties in fig, squash, mamón sweets that are processed into syrup and jam.
