During the Acsoja 2021 Symposium, within the thematic axis "Soy Technology", the moderator of the panel was María Fernanda González Sanjuan, the executive manager of Fertilizar Asociación Civil, who was accompanied by representatives of companies, who presented their vision and showed results of their trials and their main products for crop nutrition.

González Sanjuan planted the context: in recent years in which there was a constant growth in the use of fertilizers, soy was the crop that was fertilized the least. More specifically, 30% of the hectares sown with the oilseed “did not receive even a kilo of fertilizer.” However, he stressed that the trend has changed in the last 2 years and that is very positive.

The directive to Fertilize AC emphasized the situation of the soils of the Humid Pampas, graphing that “in 2001 there were 23.3 parts per million of phosphorus (P) and in 2018 we went to 16 ppm".

As for the yields, citing results from the extensive network of Fertilize trials, González Sanjuan pointed out: “With the technology that the producer uses today, he captures only 5% of the yield, when he could capture 20% more.”

In addition, he added: “Clearly fertilization can induce a virtuous side or a deficient one for the sustainability of the natural resource and in production.”
