The brand earned a place from its low prices and its resemblance to other consolidated brands in the cookie sector. In 2019 it went viral with a famous Argentine singer.

Little is known about the Pitusas. There are not many data circulating regarding its origin, nor is it easy to find detailed information about the brand. However, it is one of the most popular labels among the second options of the gondola in the cookie sector. Although many players participate, the segment is dominated by large companies, although Pitusas appears among them, which gives weight players a fight with its low prices and inspirations in other well-known competitors in the field.

According to its website, the company began operating in the 50s through the production of vanillas and alfajores. Then he added fat biscuits, sweet breads and puddings to his portfolio. But all these lines went into the background when in the 90s he invested in new machinery to start making sweet biscuits. From that moment on, this segment became the main revenue source of ParNor, the firm that created the Pitusas.

The biscuit segment is also joined by alfajores tapas, a business to which he joined in 80 after the purchase of a specialized oven. Today, it only has these two units in its catalog. The owner of the company is Gustavo Eduardo Mileti and his vice president, Eva Lidia Conti.

ParNor has registered mini Pitusas since 2003 at the National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI). Beyond its low price, it also gained popularity since several of its launches seemed to be inspired by already established brands within the cookie segment. For example, jelly pitusas have a certain similarity with Smiles; meanwhile, meringue pitusas look familiar from Meringues. In addition to these it has versions of chocolate mousse, lemon, chocolate flavor, vanilla flavor and strawberry flavor.

In 2019 the Pitusas lived a prominence on social networks with a trend that led to comparing the looks of some celebrities with packages of sweets and cookies. In the case of the brand, a Twitter user did it with different outfits by Lali Espósito and the thread accumulated great repercussion in the social network of the little bird.

The cookie company has its headquarters in Mataderos, where there is an industrial hub where several players in the sweet segment converge, such as Fantoche (15 blocks from ParNor's office) and Guaymallén (25 blocks away). But with the signature of Alfajores they not only share a neighborhood in the City of Buenos Aires, but also in the Province.
